A small dining room on Union Avenue, an open kitchen, and a buffet that locals call "a steal at thirteen dollars." We cook the food we grew up eating — slow-braised beef bhuna, smoky tandoori, daals that taste of home — and we cater it for the city we live in.

01 — The Kitchen

Shukriya is family-run, rooted in a Bangladeshi kitchen and broadened by years of cooking biriyani for weddings, mandi for prayer dinners, and butter chicken for the Tuesday lunch crowd. The result is a menu that crosses three traditions and honors all of them — a quiet refusal to choose between Bengal, Punjab, and Kabul.

The buffet is the heart of the room: ten to fourteen dishes a day, replenished from the kitchen behind the glass. Off the menu we cook to order — kabobs from the tandoor, lamb kabsa for the table, and biriyani by the tray for the catering van.

We cater weddings, mehndis, walima dinners, prayer events, birthdays, baby showers, and corporate lunches across Passaic, Bergen and Essex.

Trays, drop-off, or full service with set-up and clean-up. Halal throughout. Vegetarian and vegan menus available. We can build the table — biriyani, lamb mandi, butter chicken, daal, sabzi, kabobs, naan, and a dessert spread of rosh malay and gulab jamun — for twenty guests or three hundred.
